Watch A Real Composer Write Music in Sibelius Ep. 12

music composition Jun 16, 2022

Well, here it is. The end. We're done. You've watched a real composer write music in Sibelius. The journey is done, and I'm excited to be able to share the final episode with you. In our finale, we go over the final processes of writing music in Sibelius.

In this episode we'll go over:

  • Finalizing our dynamics and making sure things feel as natural as the playback allows for.
  • Going through the score for any notation errors that can crop up during the writing process.
  • Formatting a score so it looks pretty when submitting to a competition or sending to an instrumentalist.

It's weird, because I'm actually super excited that this is over. This feels like an accomplishment, because I've learned so much – mostly not to use vocals for a Sibelius watch me write. I'm you all had to listen to that awful baritone voice; but it got what I wanted to do across, so I'm not mad at it.

The future of Just Write Music is looking pretty promising. We're getting real close to 1k subscribers on YouTube and 2k likes/follows on Facebook; that's not nothing. And you're the reason any of this is even happening.

For that, I thank you. You're the bee's knees.

Best,

Avi
